Tomi Lahren Rapped Along to 21 Savage's 'Bank Account' & The Response Is, Well, Savage

Tomi Lahren -- the always controversial conservative political analyst who made a name for herself with her show on TheBlaze before being fired in March -- is being criticized after posting a video to her Instagram Stories in which she raps along to 21 Savage’s “Bank Account.”

The 10-second clip was recorded and re-shared by some Twitter users, including Ronak Kallianpur of Independent Review Journal.

Lahren’s sing-along didn’t get quite the positive response she probably hoped for, with some even using her own words against her.

One Twitter user pulled a quote from a 2016 tweet following the Dallas shooting that Lahren quickly deleted. “Meet the new KKK, they call themselves ‘Black Lives Matter’ but make no mistake their goals are far from equality,” it read. Lahren was suspended from TheBlaze for that now-deleted tweet.

The conservative host, who now works at Fox News, is best known for her inflammatory analysis of liberals, the Black Lives Matter movement and the DACA and DREAM acts. She has repeatedly criticized the NFL for its response to the “take a knee” protests spurred by former San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick began kneeling for the national anthem following the deaths of several unarmed black men at the hands of police. “I am not going to stand to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” he said.

Many pointed out how contradictory Lahren’s 21 Savage video came across, as she often criticizes the black community. Lawrence Jones III, a host at TheBlaze TV, Lahren’s previous employer, commented on how “she constantly attacks the culture but loves the music.”

One user joked that Lahren's video "solved racism."

And perhaps the most savage response of all came from writer Talmon Joseph Smith, who referenced Tomi’s support of President Donald Trump’s recent comments about immigrants from “shithole” countries, which included 21 Savage’s native Dominica.

21 Savage has not acknowledged Lahren’s video, and Lahren has not yet responded to the criticism.
